This dress, my friends, is one of the most elegant and sophisticated cocktail dresses I have ever seen.

A stunning size AU 10 dress by Karen Millen, you can note how beautiful the structure is on the neckline.

The fabric is of superior quality, very thick and holds shape well.

A classic below knee pencil length hem, with center-back slit for walking with ease. Ladies, you get me.

Large pleat and gather detail on the waist to one side creates a slimming and smoothing fit.

This dress is in a deep mauve/wine colour. It has a smooth satin sheen, but is not shiny.

I vote this pretty dress as the best cocktail dress of this year.

Here are some styling ideas for your next special occasion.

Wedding Guest:
Wear with a gold clutch and gold pumps. Add drop earrings for that extra touch of glam.

The Races:
Team her with a pewter fascinator to one side, with your hair in a low bun.
Add a pewter clutch and strappy heels.
Drop earrings and a cuff will adorn your look.

Graduation or Mass:
A black clutch and black pumps will do this dress justice in this setting.
Wear small pearl stud earrings to complete the look.

Party or Anniversary:
Bring along a nude colour clutch and pumps. Wear with your favourite large stud earrings and a cocktail ring.
